We are Quest Coffee Roasters, a long established espresso bar and organic coffee roastery with a loyal community following in Burleigh Heads and the Gold Coast. We sell coffee beans and products in store, online, and wholesale. We are known for our top quality coffee, delicious in house baked cakes and treats, and friendly café service. We have an opening for a Barista / Day Manager at our Quest Burleigh Cafe on James St, Burleigh Heads. Casual full time hours with option to switch to full time after 6 months.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure happiness and effectiveness of cafe team.
- Maintaining and enforcing high quality standards across cafe operations in food, drink, and cleanliness.
- Grow the recurring customer base and a high Google rating from their experience
- Running shifts, including open and close.
- Maintaining and enforcing high quality standards across restaurant operations in food, drink, and cleanliness.
- Ordering.
- Barista and food handling responsibilities alongside the team.
- Uplifting the cafe experience for customers.

**ABOUT YOU**

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- 1 or more years of recent experience as a day or cafe manager
- 2 or more years experience as a barista
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills
- A strong understanding of health and safety

NICE TO HAVE
- Certification in Hospitality or related industry.
- Baking or food handling experience.
- IT / programming experience
- Marketing / photography / or writing experience

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Australian citizen or resident with an appropriate long term visa to work in Australia
- Availability to work at least 1 weekend day
- Availability to work shifts from 4:45am to 3:00pm weekdays, and between hours 5am to 5pm on weekends.
- Loves coffee and tea
- Own transport to and from work
