**BDK Labour Hire **is looking for a boilermaker to be responsible for constructing, assembling, overhead cranes for one of the top crane manufacturers in Australia. The job is located in Thomastown.

**Responsibilities**:

- Read and understand blueprints for the location, position, and dimensions.
- Complete job work orders and other needed maintenance documentation
- Organize and arrange pre-made parts before assembly
- Identify all the necessary tools required for tasks
- Use scrapers, cleaning solvents and wire brushed to clean vats
- Inspect and perform tests to find any defects

**Requirements**:

- **Mechanical skills**: You must use and maintain many types of equipment, such as welding machines and hoists.
- **Unafraid of heights**: You must be able to handle working at heights, such as water storage tanks that may be several stories above the ground.
- **Physical strength and stamina**: You must be able to lift heavy equipment.
- **Troubleshooting**: You must have the ability to correctly diagnose and then fix problems is essential.
- **Critical thinking**: You must weigh various solutions to problems and then predict which one will be most effective.
- **Reading comprehension**: You must be able to understand written documentation.
- **Experience and certifications**: You must be a certified boilermaker with at least 5 years of experience
- Driving License
- Reliable, punctual and hard working

Pay rate: 45$ p/h
- 38 hours per week + overtime if required_
- Monday to Thursday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm_
- Friday 7:00 am - 1:00 pm_
- S_aturday 6:00 am - 2:00 pm (if required)_
- Any overtime is paid Time and half and Double time according to the Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award._
