**About the role**
APS5 Administration Officer (1 Vacancy)
**About the team - Work Health and Safety Governance and Strategy Team**
The Work Health and Safety (WHS) Governance and Strategy team designs, maintains and reports on the agency's safety management system to promote safe working:
- enabling leaders to achieve effective safety, health, wellness, engagement and productivity outcomes, and a generative safety culture
- ensuring consistent WHS governance across the agency so it is compliant with its obligations and responsibilities under the WHS Act 2011
- supporting a WHS information management system to centralise incident recording, risk management, consultation records, audits and inspections, management oversight and reporting of WHS, hazard and incident analysis and case management.

The roles are full-time, non-ongoing/ongoing, non-ongoing contracts for up to 18 months.

**What you will do
Administrative Officers provide administrative and operational support to local business teams.
Working under the support and general direction of senior staff, they exercise a degree of independent judgement and make decisions within defined parameters relating to their area of responsibility. They may contribute to planning, resource management and business improvement practices relevant to the work area.
**As an Administrative Officer, your duties may include some or all the following:
- provide administrative support to the team and/or work area
- contribute to WHS content and resource development and review
- develop and maintain stakeholder relationships across the agency and inter-agency, to support the work area's priorities and goals
- undertake research and assist with drafting and reviewing WHS content ensuring end-user engagement, accessibility and compliance
- review content to make sure it's accurate, relevant and written in line with best practice guidelines and the agency's style guide
- support the review and continuous improvement of the safety management system and WHS information management system
- participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) of Branch systems and resources offering feedback and contributing to continuous improvement
- maintain WHS-related records in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures, and WHS legislation
- work with the team to monitor and reply to shared mailbox enquiries
- monitor business area online WHS content for consistency, accuracy and compliance
- support online publishing of WHS content
- contribute to the development of business area work processes and procedure manuals
- monitor Yammer posts related to WHS and post responses as required
- attend meetings on behalf of the team, taking notes and producing minutes/reports as required
- contribute to the development of WHS content and resources that are easy to find, understand and use, and meet agency strategic goals and standards
- build and maintain stakeholder networks
