In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing key retail and mixed-use construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, and maximising value for stakeholders.Role PurposeAs the Senior Project Manager, you will support the Project Director in delivering high-quality redevelopment projects.
Your primary objective will be to manage construction, tenant coordination, and project outcomes.
You will work to minimise the loss of rent by improving timelines related to construction staging, store handovers, and openings, all while driving maximum value for the company and its shareholders.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide regular updates on project status and costs through Project Control Group reportsLead and manage the tender process using innovative procurement strategiesAchieve stakeholder sign-off on designs and various stages of developmentOversee the appointment and negotiation with consultants and tenantsPlay a vital role in commercial and contract management, ensuring positive outcomesCoordinate with consultants and contractors to meet design, technical, and quality specificationsPerform value engineering to maximise development returns while minimising disruption to operational centresEnsure strong risk management and safety performance throughout the project lifecycleAssist with the preparation of redevelopment proposals, from project briefs to the final handoverExperience & Capabilities5+ years experience in commercial development, particularly in retailStrong leadership experience in fast-paced project environmentsAdvanced contract negotiation and administration skillsExpertise in managing large-scale, sophisticated construction projectsSolid understanding of retail and mixed-use tenancy design guidelinesProficient in managing budgets and schedulesAbility to provide innovative solutions and value-for-money outcomesEssential Qualifications:Qualifications in Project Management, Construction, or a related field.Critical Skills & Attributes:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong negotiation and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage contractors, consultants, and internal teams effectivelyProficiency in managing budgets and financial forecastingDemonstrated leadership and the ability to foster collaboration and teamworkProven project experience across retail and mix use sectors.If you are interested in a confidential conversation, please reach ****** 419 045Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionProject ManagementIndustriesConstruction
