The Adelaide Showground is Adelaide's largest multi-purpose venue which offers spectacular event spaces, state-of-the-art meeting rooms, and quality visitor facilities.

**About the Role**

This is a unique opportunity for a talented Venue Catering Manager to oversee and enhance facility and event catering operations (including retail outlets, and corporate facilities), and to lead a team of professionals delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Providing superior service to key user groups will ensure high levels of retention and satisfaction
- Drive strategic planning, and the execution of financial targets, marketing and communication initiatives
- Identify opportunities and build customer engagement to optimise the use of the venue and increase revenue streams
- Develop and deliver innovative food & beverage solutions
- Steer the venue to its projected growth
- Manage a small team of motivated professionals
- Oversee Retail and Corporate departments in delivering outstanding customer experience
- Management of subcontracted outlets
- Maintain the highest level of compliance across liquor licencing and food safety
- Be a key driver in planning and delivery of an outstanding Royal Adelaide Show every year

**About You**

With substantial experience in the operational, management, and planning requirements of commercial venues, you will be a leader with the proven ability to delegate and lead others in a customer-focused environment. Key aspects include:

- Tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in event, catering, or retail management.
- Strong project management, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Passionate about providing a consistent experience to deliver desired outcomes for your stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist in developing positive relationships with colleagues, site contractors, community, and commercial partners.
- An energetic, proactive, and solutions-focused approach will ensure that you can deliver across this broad and diverse role.
