**About the role**
We are looking for our new Insurance Strategy Manager to join in the Insurance Experience and Optimisation team, here at RACQ. Reporting to the Head, your role will be to be the key coordinator of strategy development across Insurance, and conduit into Group Strategy. Your role will be closely working with EXCO, Heads of Departments, General Managers across the Group to develop and deliver Insurance Strategy, support strategic execution and drive change management, and promote insurance activities, connecting Group functions with the Insurance business. Your key duties will include:
- Drive the development, management, prioritisation and ongoing monitoring of the Insurance Strategy and portfolio.
- Lead, coordinate and measure improvement and innovation activities for Insurance, leveraging the support from Group functions.
- Coordinate and develop engaging communications, reports and presentations for Boards, General Executives and other stakeholders as required.
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities and engage stakeholders across the business to enable more efficient and effective business delivery.
- Monitor performance to Insurance Scorecard and make recommendations to Exco to achieve strategic objectives and improve change embedment.
**About you**
Being an effective communicator is paramount to this role, as stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiating will be key to your success. You will have a strategy background; with that comes a professional ongoing curiosity, high attention to detail, being solution oriented, and ready to challenge respectively. You will have excellent writing skills, pulling things together with clear messaging. You will also need to have:
- Demonstrated strategic thinking capability, with experience in development and implementation of business strategies an advantage.
- The ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity with a strong sense of initiative, accountability, and drive to deliver quality outcomes.
- An insurance background is desired however not imperative to the role, operational experience will be regarded above all else.
- A Bachelor of Business/Commerce or similar degree
