Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team currently has 170+ colleagues and is growing. You will be part of a newly formed team working on developing a Radar Display (aka Air Situation Display) for the Eurocontrol Maastricht Fallback System (FBS) controller working position (CWP). The project will be based on a Java based in-house development tool ODS Open Platform, a specialized environment for the implementation of graphical user interfaces in the ATC domain. We are developing for a safety-critical environment, following industry safety standards, where high availability and redundancy are essential requirements.
This position is available only for B2B collaboration and is for a fixed term of 6 months.
Key Tasks
Participate in the requirements engineering sessions to get a better understanding of the requirements system and software design
Development of Interface process based on ODS Open Platform protocol
Development of Control Working Positions (aka CWP) based on the ODS Open Platform
Ensuring a proper Continuous Integration System that can be used for the entire development process
Following and grasping within the team the delivery model agreed upon by the teams (Agile–Scrum or SAFe is considered)
Key Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of software development experience in Java
Good experience with object-oriented Java programming
Knowledge of object-oriented concepts, design patterns and SOLID principles
Java profiling, debugging and unit testing
Good knowledge of UML
Experience with UI design and implementation
Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery with exposure to the Maven build system
Passionate about clean, unit tested and maintainable code
Experience with Docker
Experience with development tools (e.g., JIRA, GitLab/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Coverity, JAMA)
Knowledge of Linux and Bash
Excellent English knowledge (both written and spoken)
