Overview Applications are invited for up to three postdoctoral research associates and up to three high-level PhD scholarships to work on a long-term project investigating future risks associated with surface ocean warming.The project includes impacts on climate, rainfall, carbon uptake, sea level, and ocean circulation, including the ocean's thermohaline circulation, large-scale lateral ocean circulation, and circulation associated with ocean-atmosphere modes such as the El Niño / Southern Oscillation (ENSO).
Project Scope The research will address how surface ocean warming affects global climate systems and regional weather patterns, as well as the ocean's circulation dynamics and their responses to climate variability and change.
