Our Local Programs and Regulatory Compliance team is responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations in the countries where we operate.We are seeking an experienced, agile individual to join our Compliance team in Australia.
You will support the regional Regulatory Compliance VP and AMLCO, working closely with local and global teams and key stakeholders to uphold a top-tier Compliance program.You will be responsible for supporting Crypto.com's operational compliance obligations, including regulatory reporting, dispute resolution, compliance assessments, risk management, and various projects within the Australian compliance framework.
Additionally, you will advise on and oversee derivatives business activities concerning regulatory and reputational risks.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the management of our regulatory compliance program in Australia, including monitoring AFSL obligations, advising on compliance matters, and assisting with regulatory reports.Liaise with global compliance officers on cross-border activities.Provide guidance on new products and business structures.Manage internal controls, conduct assessments, and monitor service provider SLAs.Handle regulatory inquiries, bankruptcy requests, deceased estate, Centrelink cases, and disputes including AFCA interactions.Perform compliance assessments of digital assets and assist with third-party due diligence.Review marketing materials and escalate financial crime cases.Develop and update compliance policies, procedures, and work plans.Keep the business informed about regulatory changes.Support external audits, inspections, and industry consultations on digital asset regulation.Promote compliance awareness, provide training, and support the compliance team as 2IC.RequirementsAt least 10 years of experience in financial services compliance.Bachelor's degree; RG146 compliance and ACAMS certification preferred.Knowledge of AFSL obligations, derivatives compliance, and reporting.Leadership experience and familiarity with ASIC and AUSTRAC requirements.Understanding of RBA and APRA requirements is a plus.Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to interpret legislation, write reports, and manage deadlines.Interest and knowledge in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and fintech.Advanced computer skills, including regulatory portals, CRM, spreadsheets, and presentation tools.Based in Australia with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.Life @ Crypto.comEmpowered to innovate and grow with a talented team in a supportive environment.
