UGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance business have experience growth are looking for Vehicle Builders to join our Locomotive New Build team based at our facility in Broadmeadow Newcastle.
- These roles will be offered on a permanent full time basis, they will be working day shift on a 9 day fortnight Monday - Thursday 5.30am - 2.30pm, every second Friday off and the Friday you do work is 5.30am - 1.30pm.
- About the role
- Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you working on a Locomotive new build line conducting detailed Internal & External fit-outs on cabs and general maintenance as well as servicing and general workshop duties as required.

**Key Tasks**
- Cut and Install Flooring
- Installation of Air Ducting
- Installation of Acoustic Insulation, Roof & Wall Linings
- Internal and External GRP Panels
- Window Installations
- Door assembly and Installations
- Sealing and Backfilling using Sikaflex Products

**About You**
- Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency - Carpentry Joinery, Shop Fitting, Shipwright or Vehicle Building
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable & punctual.
- General rail and locomotive experience is desirable but not a necessity.
- Commitment to a safe work environment and practices.
- Ability to interpret schematics and production drawings.
- Work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Focused on quality work & customer service excellence.
- Forklift license is desirable but not a necessity.
- Work cover overhead crane licence desirable but not a necessity.
