Gemba is looking for a **Data Analyst** to join our team in Melbourne.

If you have **2+ years of experience in data analysis, technical skills in one or more of Python/SQL/PowerBI**, and an ability to work with diverse datasets, then look no further.

**About the Role**

This role presents a great opportunity to drive organisational change and develop strong relationships with senior level stakeholders.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Consult with clients to understand their business challenges and design data products and solutions to meet their needs
- Design and develop visualisations/dashboards and reports which support business users to make better data driven decisions
- Manipulate and interpret data from multiple sources to generate new insights and recommendations
- Analyse various datasets to help uncover trends and develop data assets which improve performance
- Identify opportunities for automated data solutions which reduce manual processes
- Help to develop and maintain high quality datasets to meet user requirements
- Present insights and trends to clients including recommendations based on your analysis
- Support the Strategy, Insights, and Marketing Strategy teams with ad-hoc analyses and visualisations

**Who are we looking for?**

A Data Analyst with 2+ years of experience with a focus on best practice data analytics to deliver client solutions. Possessing technical skills in Python, SQL, BI visualisation software (PowerBI or Tableau) and cloud technologies will be highly regarded.

Core competencies include:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience working with complex datasets from multiple data sources
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Data visualisation experience, ideally with PowerBI or Tableau
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, and can work independently with a 'self-starting' attitude
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
- Foundational SQL and Python skills
- Last, but not least, a passion for Sport and Entertainment
