**The Opportunity**
We are recruiting for the position of System Support Technologist located at **Nowra**, **NSW**. The System Support Technologist will be a member of the Product Support & Maintenance, Integrated Support Services Capability to support Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) Informed Decision Support Environment (IDSE) Modelling and Analysis Team.
The HATS project delivers a modern helicopter training system to the Australian Defence Force (ADF), which trains generations of Army and Navy aircrew transitioning to Australia's future combat helicopters. This position will support the HATS Asset Manager through modeling and analysis to provide a basis for making informed decisions and improve the overall performance of the HATS support system.
**Responsibilities**
- Conduct data gathering and analysis on a range of customer requests
- Perform support system Life Cycle Cost, Spares Analysis, Operations Analysis, trade-off, sensitivity and risk analysis.
- Analyze engineering, technical, maintenance and supply system source data and specifications to identify and implement improvements to the support system.
- Collaborate with the Capability for support system modelling and analysis best practice
- Develop and deliver Technical Reports.
**Experience/Qualifications**
- Formal qualification in engineering/aviation maintenance with 10 or more years' related work experience
- Experience in aviation Operations and support systems, Support System Analysis, Spares Analysis, Life Cycle Cost Analysis/Total Cost of Ownership, Operational Analysis or other related logistics engineering/support standards.
