Custodian

Custodian is responsible for cleaning and preparing vacant properties within our housing portfolio to ensure they are maintained to a professional and presentable standard.
This role plays a key part in supporting property readiness by delivering thorough cleaning services that meet company requirements and expectations.
Working as part of a team, custodians ensure properties are hygienic, safe, and visually appealing for incoming tenants or inspections.
The role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork, with an emphasis on quality service.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESConduct assigned custodial tasks within housing portfolioMop/steam clean floorsSteam clean carpets, lounges, armchairs, beds and other upholstered furnitureRemove calcium scale build up in showers and bathroomsDusting and cobweb removalCleaning blemishes and marks on surfaces hi/loConduct all actions to ensure highly rated customer service is provided to customer(s)Maintain necessary cleaning supplies needed in provided transport (Van)Maintain and store all inventory of all supplies for custodial staff.Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliances at site and within the workplaceAny other reasonable duties as requestedQUALIFICATIONSCertificate in Health Support ServicesCertificate HospitalityField: HospitalityTICKETS AND LICENCESDrivers LicenseCPRWhite CardWorking at HeightsFirst Aid1 to 3 years' experience in hospitality/industrial Custodial industry· Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.
· The ability to lift items up to 10kgs independently· The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to stand.SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTIt is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role.
