Our team is growing, and we're looking for a qualified
Diesel Fitter Mechanic
to join us at our
Swanbank Landfill
site and help keep our essential fleet safe, maintained, and operational.
The opportunity
You'll be working across a
diverse range of vehicles and mobile equipment
, including trucks, trailers, generators, and compressors.
Your main responsibilities will include
routine maintenance
,
fault diagnosis
, and
attending to breakdowns.
What you'll be doing
Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and more
Performing regular servicing, lubrication, and preventative maintenance
Testing engine performance and fine-tuning for optimal operation
Rebuilding engines and fabricating or repairing parts when required
Using specialized tools and mechanical equipment to solve problems
Responding to breakdowns on-site
What you'll bring
Qualified Diesel Mechanic
, Heavy Vehicle, Mobile Plant, Light Vehicle Mechanic, or Auto-Electrician
Experience in the maintenance and repair of
trucks, trailers
, and
mobile equipment
Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative, professional team
A background in road transport, plant equipment, or similar fields is desirable
What we offer

Monday to Friday

overtime on Saturdays
