About the role

Health Professionals are employed at Hyson Green as part of the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate the group therapy programs and provide individual therapy for inpatients. The role also involves providing a consultation liaison service to other areas of the Private Hospital.

With mínimal direction, provide professional health services that include assessment, counselling, therapeutic intervention, case management, consultation and referral as required.
Consult and liaise with other health professionals and external agencies to ensure ongoing support for patients during their recovery.
Develop and deliver group therapy programs and therapeutic interventions for clients in Hyson Green and other areas of the hospital.
Contribute to the work of a multi-disciplinary team in order to meet the goals of Hyson Green
Undertake administrative duties including preparation of reports, maintenance of records, and provision of regular statistical information as required.

Participate in staff training opportunities and provide in-service training to other staff as appropriate.

About you

**MANDATORY**:
Tertiary Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing.
Professional registration with AHPRA or eligibility to join AASW.

**DESIRABLE**:
Appropriate clinical experience, including demonstrated skills in assessment, treatment, therapeutic intervention, group work, case management, and case work.
Effective communication skills, both written and oral - in particular, an ability to develop and maintain rapport with clients and other health care professionals.
Demonstrated ability to develop and provide effective group programs for patients and their families.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Appropriate computer skills and ability to learn and use new IT systems.
Demonstrated high order ability in liaising with VMOs and their reception staff, health funds and hospital staff through a strong customer focus.
