**About the role**
The Strategic Delivery Office (SDO) supports the organisation with an emphasis on the front facing business units (Residential Care, Home Care, Hospitals and the Dementia Centre) to provide advice on strategic planning and execute strategic priorities as outlined in the Next Chapter: HammondCare 2025. This work is undertaken through dedicated areas focused on Strategy, Policy, Projects (through the Project Management Office (PMO) and the Foundation. The SDO works in partnership with the CEO and Executive Team.
The **Head of Project Management Office** is responsible for the planning, governance, and successful delivery of all projects across the organisation. This role will manage a team of Project Managers (both technical and generalist) through the PMO with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement, change management and strong governance and reporting to ensure high quality project outcomes are delivered.

**Key Responsibilities include**
- Manage and lead a team of Project Managers and Project Officers
- Articulate and report the objectives and progress of the agreed projects and strategic initiatives to the Executive Team as required through a Project Governance Forum ("Change Governance Forum").
- Oversee and support, where issues arise, Project Managers' engagement with the heads of Residential Care, Home Care, Hospital and other relevant project sponsors.
- Uplift project management disciplines and capabilities by diffusing best practice approaches and methodologies across the organisation
- Develop and oversee a continuous learning mindset to projects through consistent reviews, capturing of learnings and Executive feedback to ensure ongoing improvement of project delivery
- Oversee development of methodology and frameworks for tracking and reporting projects across the business.
- Proactively resolve issues that impact delivery of projects - both tactically (within project) as well as identifying strategic change (across projects) to develop a more robust system
- Act as an agent for change, challenging the status quo to improve our ability to deliver projects - in particular working with our IT and Finance partners and guiding implementation to consider the external capabilities through partnership and commercial relationships
- Work with Head of Strategy to consider how to support the successful delivery of Strategic Initiatives as outlined in the Next Chapter: HammondCare 2025
- Support Head of Strategy, Policy and Projects to develop Strategic Delivery Office strategy, priorities and team objectives and provide CEO, Executive and Board with strategic advice and input as required
**About You**
- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
- At least 10 years demonstrated experience in a senior Project Management role with a strong track record in delivering large complex projects and organisational change in response to business transformation or change initiatives
- Strong understanding of project management tools and methodologies
- Understanding of relevant Govt departments, regulators etc
- You are a leader who can navigate through ambiguity, delivering greater clarity from experience gained in process simplification, business acumen, leadership, change management and project management experience
- Exceptional drive and influencing skills
- Demonstrated experience inspiring, motivating and managing a team
- Ability to work to deadlines, sometimes with tight timeframes, and work under pressure
