Your role The Youth Worker will be passionate about driving a collaborative culture of learning, and supporting teachers and support staff to best meet the needs of our students, through a culture of collegial engagement and feedback. They will work collaboratively with all staff to facilitate student engagement, and ultimately lead to student success. As a lead learner, they will need to have a strong relational capability to quickly develop positive relationships between students, staff and families. Responsibilities include:

- Support staff and student in classrooms, where data has identified that a student may benefit from additional input, and/or the staff are requiring support to implement particular strategies
- Continue to develop links with key organisations within our local Coomera and wider Gold Coast community to Support a structured mentor program with specific students across the school
- Begin to establish a 'hands on learning' program to further support engagement of our 'at risk' students
- Work with the Principal to support the launch and ongoing organisation/implementation of the 'My Great Mates' program
- Intentionally collaborate and consult with a range of stakeholders, both within and external to the school, to ensure everyone is goal oriented and focused on student success
- Be an active member of the PBL committee, working closely with the Head of Department - Engagement and Wellbeing to assist the decrease in severity and rate of major behaviour incidents by implementing comprehensive intervention support plans with classroom teams.
- Increasing student and social and emotional wellbeing by using research-based programs appropriate to the students' needs
