**About the role**

As Lead Product Designer, you will play a key role in transforming our user experience, leading the UX vision and strategy, and building out our research and design ops practice. You should be somebody who cares about your craft, pays attention to the details, loves solving interesting challenges and likes to explore the 'why' behind problems.

Reporting to the Head of UX, you will work closely with cross functional peers and a team of talented designers, who are motivated by developing a deep understanding of user needs to design beautiful, intuitive experiences that people love.

**Your Focus**:

- Lead UX strategy and vision, working across the end to end design process to deliver innovative solutions to complex customer and business problems.
- Deliver detailed customer journeys, storyboards, user stories, wireframes, and prototypes across web and mobile platforms
- Deliver and uphold a high quality bar for well crafted UI designs that set the standard for our experience, ensuring user centred design processes and tools are used across all projects and deliverables.
- Lead and design research studies, facilitate workshops, gather and synthesise insights, and ensure research and data are used to inform design decisions.
- Be responsible for anything that is released to the customer ensuring no design defects or bugs are being introduced to the experience.
- Influence and manage key stakeholder relationships, building trust with peers, business functions and partners through collaboration and UX thought leadership. Provide strategic insights to help stakeholders assess and prioritise opportunities and constraints with UX findings and best practices.
- Partner closely with the Head of UX on design culture and operations, ensuring we develop and nurture a high performing UX team.
- Play a key role in growing our research practice, oversee UX research operations and governance, increasing the cadence of customer outreach and leveraging data and insights to inform decision making.
- Increase UX maturity across the business through design advocacy and education
- Provide direction and coaching for product designers on ux strategy, visual design and product thinking.

**About You**:

- Over 10 years experience as a Senior or Lead Designer in complex problem spaces
- Comprehensive portfolio of your own work showcasing your skills across the end-to-end design process.
- Self-driven and passionate about your craft, with a deep understanding and a high degree of empathy for the people who experience your work Ability to create test strategies that drive optimisation of products and features
- Experience designing, running and facilitating user research
- Advanced skills in Figma, Miro, and Adobe Creative SuiteAn excellent storyteller with strong presentation skills who is confident speaking to peers, partners, leadership and in front of large audiences.
- Experience working within cross functional product squads in an agile environment preferred
- Excellent facilitation, communication and collaboration skills, with a flexible and friendly approach to working with teams
- Strategic, with strong critical thinking and analytical skills
