About the role
Our Lady of the Rosary, Kellyville is a close-knit, welcoming Parish that looks outwards to the wider community. We are dedicated to sharing God's love and building on the foundations of our pioneers. We take great pride in our beautiful church and our two excellent local Catholic schools. As a Parish Secretary, you will be the first point of contact for our community, embodying our culture of professionalism and genuine service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for all inquiries, managing a busy flow of calls and face-to-face interactions.
- Maintain an extensive parish database and manage diaries and appointments for the Parish Priest and Assistant Priest.
- Prepare and distribute the weekly bulletin.
- Coordinate volunteers and administer Working with Children Checks.
- Schedule and manage bookings for weddings, funerals, and baptisms, including the necessary administrative and legal paperwork.
- Receive payments, order supplies, and organise maintenance for the Parish.
About you
Skills and Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in an office environment, ideally in a highly customer-focused support role such as administration or reception.
- Proven high-end time management and coordination skills.
- Advanced computer and technology capabilities with the ability to quickly learn a variety of platforms.
- Essential qualities include diplomacy, confidentiality, and warmth.
- A strong understanding of and commitment to the ethos and values of the Catholic Church.
Other requirements:
- A current, verified Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one.
- A valid Driver's Licence is essential.
Classification:
This position is classified at Level 4 under the Clerks - Private Sector Award 2020, plus superannuation.
