Position: Refrigeration and Airconditioning MechanicPosition Type: Full-Time Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annumLocation: Campsie NSW 2194Our client is seeking a skilled Refrigeration and Airconditioning Mechanic to join their team located in Campsie, New South Wales.
Duties and Responsibilities:Establishing job requirements from drawings and specifications, and lying out installation reference pointsDrilling holes, installing mounting brackets and cuttings, bending and threading pipingInstalling repairing components such as compressors, motors, and condensers, evaporators, switches and gauges, and copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil and chilled waterBolting, soldering, riveting, welding and brazing pipes to connect equipment and checking alignment and accuracy of fitFilling systems with gas or fluid to check for leaksTest-operating refrigeration systems, checking mechanisms and making adjustmentsRemoving test gas and fluid using vacuum pumps, and filling with refrigerantChecking and overhauling refrigeration systems, diagnosing faults and repairing and replacing defective componentsAdjusting system controls and mechanisms and reassembling systemsRecording causes of malfunctioning and action taken.Requirements:Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning RAC01 - Full refrigeration and Air Conditioning LicenceAt least three (3) years of relevant experience as a Refrigeration and Airconditioning Mechanic or equivalentStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, their operation, and troubleshooting techniquesProficiency in using diagnostic tools, including multimeters, pressure gauges and leak detectors.Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks efficiently and accuratelyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
