Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.
**Your Opportunity**:
The Paediatric Disability Lead for CHQ HHS will provide strategic leadership and direction, authorative and expert advice relating to deliver safe, high quality, efficient and family-centred services for children and young people with disabilities. The scope of the disability lead includes:
- The strategic leadership readiness and implementation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme for CHQ HHS including hospital, community and state-wide services. The position ensures clinical services are developed and delivered to a high standard, optimising the capability of the workforce and adhering to principles of best practice.
- The scope of service will include Hospital and Health Service (hospital, community and state-wide services) and state-wide level consultancy, advice and contribution to the development of professional competence in relation to planning and implementation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) from a paediatric perspective.
- Be the professional lead and regarded as a state-wide authority in the management of disability related, aligning practice with Queensland Health direction and international best practice.
