**About us**

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Emergency Department is a busy and unique team that provides high level acute care in a multi-disciplinary setting. We are a Level 1 Adult Trauma and tertiary referral centre, with over 85,000 presentations annually.- The service provides assessment, investigations and treatment of all patients who present and is part of a designated Major Trauma Service and has a high acuity case mix with an emphasis on Trauma, Infectious Disease, Chest Pain Evaluation, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry.

**About the role**

The RMH Emergency Department is seeking a graduate in data science, data analysis, clinical informatics or equivalent with excellent communication and data presentation skills to fill a new part time role in our organisation. This is a fixed term appointment for up to three years.
- You will work directly with managers, senior clinicians and researchers within the ED to take our data usage to the next level ny:

- Preparation of monthly operational KPI reports
- Data sourcing, analysis and presentation
- support for researchers in data acquisition and biostatistics,
- collaborating with the organisation's business intelligence unit
- help the ED maximise opportunities that arise from organisational datasets.
- This role will be primarily reporting into the Director of Emergency Medicine however a joint governance with the Business Intelligence Unit will create opportunities for professional development and interface with the growing team of data scientists at RMH.

**About you**

You will have the skills required to extract, clean, and analyse data and then to present it in the best way to influence and inform the intended audience.
- High level communication skills
- Good data visualisation and interpretation skills
- Preparedness to learn about the drivers of and barriers to high quality, efficient service delivery in a large public health service.
