About the roleAs a Support Worker at We Care Community, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and personalised care to older adults and individuals with disabilities.
This is a casual role, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle.
We are looking right now for a number of people to support our client group in Liverpool, Carlingford, North Parramatta, Leppington, Wollongong, Goulburn and other locations across Sydney metro area, Hunter region and the south coast.
You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.Support clients in developing life skills, building individual capacity to promote their wellbeing and independence.Implement personalised care plans in collaboration with clients and their families to support inclusion in community lifeAssist with mobility and transportation to access the community and appointments.Foster a positive and inclusive environment promoting dignity and independence.Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with industry standards.Qualifications / OtherA genuine passion for supporting children, teens and adults with disabilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience in a similar support worker role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, person-centred careStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clientsWorking With Children CheckFirst Aid and CPR Certificate from Australian recognised provider; This is mandatory and must be regularly reviewed.
CPR every 12 months, first aid every 24 months.Police check that has been completed within the last 6 months- except NSWProof of citizenship or right to work in AustraliaCOVID Vaccinations or medical letterNDIS orientation safety modules certificateFull license; access to a vehicle that has comprehensive insuranceRelevant qualifications in community services, aged care, or disability supportLived experience as a care of a person with a disabilityManual Handling training, with completed certificateA mental health first aid certificateExperience working with individuals with psychosocial disabilitiesOpportunities for advancement to other rolesSupportive work environment with a focus on team collaborationFlexible working hours to suit your lifestyleEmployees as Partners supportPositive team cultureAbout usWe Care Community is a leading provider of disability support services across NSW.
