**What are we looking for?**

We have a fantastic opportunity for a positive, energetic and highly motivated Law Clerk to join our Superannuation & Insurance Disability practice group in our Melbourne office. This is a full time 12 month contract.

Our team works closely with clients who have superannuation Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) or private disability insurance claims following an injury or illness. We work to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients. Under supervision of a Lawyer within our Superannuation team, your daily duties will include:

- Undertaking client interviews to establish an entitlement to make a disability insurance claim
- Review insurance policies and trust deeds applicable to the client's matter
- Preparation of claim forms and legal submissions
- Draft correspondence to clients and third parties
- Providing a tailored approach to each client's matter
- Managing your own file load of client claims
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal and external stakeholders
- Working closely with the legal teams to advance legal matters for clients

**What will you bring?**
- Previous experience as a Law Clerk or in case management preferred but not essential
- Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems
- A natural passion for helping people and high level of empathy
- Exceptional experience in communication and customer service
- Excellent written and drafting skills
- Recognise the importance of attention to detail and time management
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Available to work 38 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday
