About Us:
Our client is a leading manufacturer in the plastics sector. They are committed to delivering high-quality products and are currently seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Die Setter Technician to join their team and contribute to its ongoing success.
Job Description:
As an Injection Moulding Die Setter/Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting injection moulding machines to ensure efficient and high-quality production. You will work closely with the production team, ensuring production runs smoothly.
The Staff member will be responsible for:
1.
Die Setting:
Set up of injection moulding machines according to production schedules.
2.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve issues related to mould setup, machine operation, and product defects to minimize downtime and waste.
3.
Quality Control:
Perform quality checks as specified and monitor production runs to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
4.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of mould changes, machine settings and quality specification. Report any abnormalities or deviations.
5.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Promote a culture of safety among the team.
6.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancements in the injection moulding department.
To be successful in this role you must have the following:
Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Die Setter / Technician.
Proficiency in mould setup, and troubleshooting.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in injection moulding.
Attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Able to work afternoon shift.
Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
Salary negotiable dependant on experience. No sponsorship available.
