**What are we looking for?**
The Area Vice President (AVP) of Financial Services is responsible for leading the business vertical across Australia with a particular focus on developing and engaging our employees, partners and customers. This role is a critical member of the Australian Sales Leadership Team and is a representative for the Salesforce brand in the country and has four primary areas of responsibilities: Strengthening our brand Driving growth and Customer Success Developing our ecosystem Inspiring/supporting our Ohana and bringing together the full power of Salesforce.
**Salesforce BRAND**
- Position Salesforce as the #1 platform for customers to achieve customer success, fostering the adoption of Salesforce
- Represent Salesforce as the leader in the local market supporting the PR strategy
- Be active as spokesperson at key external events in the countries (i.e. World Tour, Basecamps, etc)
- Ensure Marketing budget is aligned to the priorities of the Industry plan
**GROWTH**
- Lead the operating rhythm of the industry vertical aligned to the Country plan - lead weekly forecast calls, report regularly on progress and activities, hold accountability for delivering a financial plan for the countries, drive demand generation activities, develop and execute successful sales campaigns
- Maintain and improve the year-on-year growth % across the region and vertical
- Coordinate year-end planning and create a Go-to-Market plan for the financial services vertical that is suitable for the next wave of growth and in line with the corporate and cross-functional guidelines and requirements
- Drive industry vertical Strategy & Execution
- Be involved in regional and global financial services Leader Community to share best practices
**ECOSYSTEM**
- Develop CXO Community, enable C-Level Relationships for financial services.
- Orchestrate the Salesforce ecosystem to drive large deals and nurture and foster critical C-level relationships
- Focus on ecosystem: advocate for customer success & partner resources, drive developer community and trailblazers
**CULTURE**
- Provide guidance and transparency to financial services industry vertical through all-hands calls, communications, etc.
- Own all activities across the financial services industry team to create a high-performing culture where people feel proud to be part of the growth story
- Facilitate the talent flow
- Hire high-calibre talent and coach and enable new leaders and account executives
- Drive inclusion & collaboration
**Experience / Required Skills**
- A recognized leader with a proven track record in building and leading large, complex, matrixed sales organizations recognized for both their culture and results (growth and overachieving quota)
- Day-to-day, driving and managing a sales business with a strong cadence of deal closure on a monthly and quarterly basis; track record of consistent over-achievement of quota and revenue goals.
- Strategic sales experience and revenue achievement selling multiple S/W offerings, while building satisfied, loyal and referenceable customers across the financial services vertical
- Customer success orientation.
- Consultative sales skills and ability to construct and articulate strong business case and ROI, strategic account planning and execution skills.
- Excellent operational/analytical skills - reporting, forecasting, data analysis skills; operations management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in working with partner ecosystems from GSI's to ISV's
- C-level engagement and negotiation, account strategy, domain expertise, executive selling, large deal management and team leadership.
- Exemplary communication, interpersonal and people leadership skills
