**About the Opportunity**

Reporting to Manager - Metro Road Services the Dispatch and Resource Manager is responsible for monitoring 'real time' on road service activities to ensure effective and efficient

delivery of roadside assistance in line with corporate and departmental key performance indicators.

Other responsibilities will be:

- Ensuring the required service vehicles are available as required and managing service van non-conformance with the area manager or contract proprietor.
- Scheduling patrol holidays, training and any adhoc patrol meetings to minimise the impact on the delivery of efficient roadside assistance.
- Ensure appropriate staffing within the Resource department to effectively and efficiently dispatch roadside assistance jobs to service providers across Victoria.
- Provide short term backfill duties during Resource Coordinator absences.
- Forecasting metropolitan van requirements using predictive modelling tools.
- Reviewing and challenging existing systems & processes to improve forecasting & rostering delivering improved network productivity and efficiencies

The Dispatch and Resource Manager will have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff - Management, frontline and other business units as well as excellent verbal, written and communication skills and the ability to cope with pressure, multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

**What you'll need to be successful**
- Minimum 2 years' experience and exposure in forecasting and resourcing environments.
- Thorough Understanding of Workforce Management processes.
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring staff.
- Thorough experience in building, culturally changing and managing a team of people.
- Sound experience in commercial contract negotiations
