This is an opportunity to work with a well-established civil contractor on earthworks, demolition, excavation, piling, retention, foundations and related works.
Our client is a well-established and market-leading civil contractor.
They are looking for an experienced and dedicatedSite Engineer /Project Engineerto join their growing business.
Our client provides their services across multiple industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure and environmental projects, and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.
Types of projects include build earthworks, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation.
Typical project values range from $2.5m to $25m, with potential to reach $50m+.
Candidate must have civil experience and ideally bulk earthworks experience.
Projects are in Brisbane.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working on tenders
Planning and scheduling of construction activities
Management of site project teams
Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
Preparation of management reports
Resolving site issues in a timely manner
Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
Coordinating internal and external resources
Qualifications and Requirements:
Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
3 – 5+ years' experience on civil projects, must have bulk earthworks experience
Project management qualifications will be advantageous
Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
Effective problem-solving abilities
Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
High level of organisation and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
