We believe living these values helps us build a thriving, inclusive culture.Introduction to the Role:We are seeking a Lead Control Systems Engineer responsible for process automation design and software development related to Metso BMH Engineering for product development and customer projects.What you'll do:Lead engineering design and development, including preparing specifications.Develop PLC, APC applications, HMI, and SCADA systems.Design machine and control system architecture.Maintain and develop Metso's standard product portfolio and create custom solutions.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Control Systems Engineers.Oversee standards, best practices, and compliance for control systems.Lead factory acceptance testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure project success.Contribute to high-quality engineering solutions and business growth through innovation.Who you are:Essential Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.At least 10 years in control system engineering, preferably in bulk material handling or mineral processing.Strong leadership and project management skills, with mentoring experience.Deep knowledge of process control design, network architecture, and MES/ERP integration.Proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA, and APC systems, especially Rockwell and Siemens.Experience with AVEVA (Citect) SCADA development.Hands-on experience with industrial protocols and instrumentation.Knowledge of variable speed drives, control system commissioning, and factory acceptance testing.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.Desirable Experience:SQL development for data integration.Experience with ABB and Schneider PLC platforms.Development experience in InTouch, Cimplicity, FactoryTalk View.Designing automation solutions for OEM equipment.Functional Safety certification (TUV preferred).
