We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner to work with a State Government Department.

Digital Programs requires the services of an experienced Product Owner to provide key support in the development and progress of the One-Stop-Shop initiative, and achievement of milestones and deliverables.

The Product Owner will be responsible for:

- Leading the implementation of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to meet customer needs and the delivery of relevant programs.
- Leading the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology to ensure the product and its features meet specifications required for user needs and contract/licence conditions.
- Decomposing features into user stories and prioritise the backlog, including bug fixes, based on the overall strategy and business objectives.
- Ensuring appropriate approvals for user stories is sought from the relevant stakeholders
- Ensuring the product is managed in alignment with the divisional and departmental security programs and policies.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve objectives and influence improvements to the product including monitoring of the complaint and enhancement views of users and stakeholders.
- Establishing working relationships with stakeholders to aid in the development of business requirements.
- Providing clarifications where necessary to help assist the delivery team with user story estimates and sequencing.
- Continuously reviewing business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and proactively identify areas for improvement to the product.
- Liaising with the architecture lead for the product/service in order to define enabler stories.
- Participating in risk identification and participate in risk management activities for the product.

The key relationships / interactions required of the role include:

- Liaising with and building effective working relationships with Agency stakeholders; and
- Understanding who the users of the product are and their use of the product.
