**The Opportunity**

As a Welding Quality Control (QC) Inspector, your role will be to ensure that all welding-related quality activities on the project meet client contractual requirements and comply with the company's Integrated Management System (IMS). You will focus on the safety, environmental impacts, and quality assurance of welding work performed ensuring that all welding inspections are carried out on schedule. Key duties include verifying compliance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP), identifying and reporting deviations from engineering specifications, and following up on corrective actions. You will maintain and manage documentation for all welding QA/QC activities, support the construction team and Kent Supervisors, and build strong relationships with stakeholders, including NDT providers and other inspection vendors. Additionally, you will ensure all test and handover documentation is traceable, up-to-date, and participate in meetings as required by the QC Lead.

**Role requirements**:
**Qualifications/Certifications**:

- Engineering degree or relevant fabrication trade certificate.
- AS1796 Cert 10 Welding Certificate, WTIA Senior Welding Inspector, or CSWIP 3.1/3.2 Inspector Certificate.
- Industry experience in oil and gas or petrochemical refining.
- General Construction Induction Card (CPCCWHS1001) or equivalent.
- Confined Space Entry (RIIWH202E) and Working Safely at Heights (RIIWHS204D) certifications.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in inspecting welding processes per AS1554, AS3992, AS4458, AS4041, and related pressure equipment standards.
- Strong knowledge of API, ASME, and industry-specific welding standards.
- In-depth understanding of welding processes and NDT techniques, codes, and procedures.
- Competency in administrative software and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain effective communication in a fast-paced project environment.
