We Deliver – Together.The Opportunity:As part of our Land Systems Division, we are expanding the team supporting the Armoured Fighter Vehicle Branch — a pivotal program modernising Australia's land combat capability through the design, integration, and sustainment of next- armoured vehicles.
Join KBR and work on highly complex, mission-critical systems software that enhances the operational effectiveness, survivability, and interoperability of armoured fighting vehicles.You will be involved in engineering software solutions embedded within various vehicle subsystems, including weapon control software, fire control systems, situational awareness displays, vehicle diagnostics, and system integration middleware.All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for armoured vehicle systemsCollaborate with engineers to meet complex Defence standards and requirementsCreate and update software specifications and documentationPerform software verification, debugging, and quality assuranceDevelop diagnostic tools to support vehicle maintenanceManage software versions and configuration controlCommunicate clearly with both technical teams and Defence stakeholdersAs the ideal candidate you will bring:Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering.5+ years' experience in embedded software development, preferably in Defence or complex systemsProven experience in systems engineering within Defence programs, ideally in the land domain.Strong skills in C/C++, RTOS, and software testingKnowledge of Defence standards (e.g. MIL-STD, DO-178C) is a plusExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsCurrent NV1 Defence Security Clearance or higher (required to apply)All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
