THE ROLE
**Are you a**:
- Highly experienced in managing strategic and statutory planning processes with State and Local Government statutory agencies
- An excellent stakeholder manager with a track record of building partnerships and influence to progress complex development projects
- An experienced leader of professional teams
- Capable of sharing knowledge to guide the development of team members
- Experienced in providing clear concise advice at the highest levels on complex and politically sensitive issues
- A problem solver who analyses issues from different perspectives
The role will provide timely advice to senior management on complex project issues and solutions and prepare detailed reports, Ministerial briefings and discussion papers that demonstrate an understanding of the policy, political and legal context. Additionally, the role will provide key input into the feasibility and master planning phases of social and affordable housing projects and assess the planning dimensions of social and affordable housing proposals. The position will work collaboratively with a range of planning and design teams within Homes Victoria, provide advice to Community Housing Providers and engage with councils, the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning and other government and non-government agencies. The role involves contributing to planning advice to Homes Victoria leadership and providing strategic guidance to senior planners in Homes Victoria.
The Statutory Planning team of Homes Victoria are key facilitators in the rapid delivery of the State Government's largest investment in social and affordable housing.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

- Provide high level technical land use planning expertise to inform the delivery of complex planning projects including mentoring, coaching and guiding project teams.
- Lead and drive the delivery of complex strategic planning projects, including scoping, monitor overall project performance against project plans and ensure that objectives are met.
- Identify emerging issues and ensure appropriate responses, including risk analyses and the preparation of reports for consideration by the senior Homes Victoria leadership, government, management and stakeholders.
