Key Role
The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of engineers with varying levels of experience, including graduates and seniors. They will oversee commercial engagements and ensure timely delivery on agreed project milestones.
Main Responsibilities
Manage and cultivate a team of software engineers across different experience levels.
Lead and participate in complex customer engagements involving comprehensive system architectures.
Implement disciplined engineering processes to drive efficiency and productivity.
Integrate and maintain platform-oriented software stacks.
Develop and optimize Ubuntu for the latest hardware platforms.
Exhibit technical leadership within the organization and externally.
Contribute to code reviews and technical documentation.
Collaborate closely with other leaders as an active member of the leadership team.
Requirements
Exceptional academic achievements from both high school and university.
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a relevant STEM field, or a compelling narrative about your alternative educational path.
Proficiency in C, C++, and Python programming languages.
Experience working with Linux and operational systems software, such as kernel or user space.
Familiarity with Debian/Ubuntu or other distro packaging.
Proven track record of leading software engineering teams.
Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, exchange feedback, and share ideas confidently.
Thoughtfulness, self-motivation, and a results-driven approach to meeting commitments.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience contributing to open source communities and licenses.
Knowledge of computer architecture, specifically x86, ARM, RISC-V, or s390x.
Understanding of build systems and toolchains, including cross-compilation.
Experience working with customers and stakeholders.
Expertise in board bring up and validation.
Knowledge of Linux virtualization, networking, or graphics stacks.
Experience with confidential computing, RDMA, Infiniband, or high-performance computing technologies.
