Our client has a permanent position available for a Legal Manager to join their team based in South Brisbane. They are seeking someone with a strong background in legal compliance and major litigation, offering a fantastic opportunity to grow your career and expand your skills in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will be part of a team that works collaboratively to achieve outstanding results.

**What You Will Be Doing**:

- Leading global compliance efforts, including the development of training programs and ensuring adherence to legislative and licensing requirements.
- Establishing and maintaining a comprehensive policy framework in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Managing contract limits and maintaining an up-to-date suite of contracts for commercial transactions.
- Collaborating with Heads of Legal and Commercial from different regions and engaging with industry bodies.
- Drafting statutory reports and working with the ESG team on Sustainability Reports.
- Delivering Code of Conduct and Commercial Contracts training.
- Handling major legacy litigation matters and managing intellectual property.
- Mentoring and developing team members.

**Experience Required**:

- Formal education in Law and admission to legal practice.
- A current practicing certificate is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of contracts management and/or legal experience in a commercial setting.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the business.
- Strong contract and legal drafting skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to adapt to change and manage competing priorities.
- Experience in the resources industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft systems including Sites, PowerPoint, and Excel.
