**GENERAL ASSISTANT - GROUNDSKEEPER**:

- 5 days - 5 hrs per day_ (25 hrs per week)_

**Responsibilities include**:

- Maintain cleanliness of college grounds and outdoor facilities - picking up rubbish, sweeping, raking, blowing leaves
- Meet deliveries and distribute parcels, boxes and incoming supplies to the relevant locations
- Set up for college assemblies, functions and other activities
- General cleaning and washing down of facilities
- Collect, empty and clean bins
- General gardening & weeding
- Minor repairs and maintenance
- Liaise with contractors and ensure safe work practices
- Participate in team and staff meetings and College events when requested
- Any other duties as determined by the Business Manager

**Essential Criteria**

Successful applicants for the position will:

- maintain a current Working with Children Check.
- hold a current drivers' licence.
- demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- have demonstrated ability to follow directions, prioritise and meet set deadlines.

**Desirable**:

- relevant certificate or trade qualifications.
- appropriate demonstrated experience in school operations.
