Principal Consultant – Data and AIThe role manages engagements with multiple customers, supporting their Azure and Databricks environments.With demonstrated hands-on experience in building and optimizing scalable data processing solutions using Azure Databricks and associated big data technologies, the candidate will establish new environments, manage and optimize existing ones, and provide best-practice advice and support to clients to enhance their data pipelines and Azure infrastructure.This role requires a solid understanding of Data Engineering concepts, experience with Spark, SQL, and Python programming, and a proven track record of leading teams in data engineering projects, delivering high-performance solutions in enterprise environments.Role ResponsibilitiesConduct customer-facing workshops with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to confirm requirements, explore possibilities, and manage expectations.Lead delivery projects, including mentoring and oversight of technical delivery resources.
This involves task allocation, guiding the team to ensure timely delivery, and performing quality and peer reviews.Design and implement solutions using technologies such as:o Databricks (Strong Focus)o Microsoft Fabrico Microsoft Purviewo Azure Machine Learningo Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and Synapseo Azure OpenAIResponsible for delivering successful outcomes in client engagements, maintaining an excellent reputation for delivery, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.Act as the point of escalation for project-related issues.Support pre-sales activities, including building proof of concepts, presenting demonstrations, and high-level design work.Drive continuous improvement of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on client feedback.Develop documentation for knowledge transfer to the production team.Contribute to product development and IP creation for repeatable solutions.Experience5+ years of experience designing and delivering data and AI-centric solutions.Experience leading projects and mentoring junior resources.Experience working with external customers, ideally in a consulting capacity.Comfortable working with varied stakeholders, including C-level executives.Experience in architecture and pre-sales activities.Ideally, experience with Generative AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics solutions.Why Nexon?
