Positions are available in Adelaide and surrounding areas.About the Role:As an Aged/Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting our participants to live life to the fullest.
You will deliver high-quality care within clients' homes and Western Care Support SIL homes, ensuring their holistic needs are met.
In this integrated team position, you will work within an established framework to support clients in achieving choice, control, and independence in all aspects of their lives.
Your responsibilities will include providing personal care, meal preparation, maintaining the home environment, facilitating community access, and promoting overall well-being.Key Responsibilities:Support participants in living the life they chooseAssist with daily activities, meal preparation, and personal carePromote independence and empowerment in all aspects of lifeSupport clients' health by managing medication and appointmentsProvide transportation and accompany clients to community activitiesHelp clients meet their physical, emotional, and lifestyle needsMaintain clients' dignity and independence through personal careFollow care plans, document progress, and monitor client assessmentsRequired Skills and Qualifications:Certificate III or IV in Disability/Aged Care/Individual SupportValid Driver's License with a registered VehiclePassion for working in the sector with a strong understanding of its dynamicsPrevious experience in mental health highly consideredExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsFamiliarity with Active Support principlesAvailability for split shiftsAbility to treat all clients with respect, dignity, and compassionProficiency in providing Personal Care and Domestic CareAdherence to Western Care Support Core ValuesDesire to join a mission-based organization focused on caring for othersSchedule:24-hour support with Day, Afternoon, and Evening shiftsFlexible hours and a rotating rosterNight shifts with Passive or Active night shiftsDon't miss this opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals.
