**Import Clerk (Entry Level Position)**

**Interim Executive Appointments **is seeking to appoint a contract Import Clerk (Entry Level) with a self-motivated attitude looking to make their start in a career in the Customs Brokerage or Forwarding industry. Positions in this industry are well regarded and keenly sought in the current high-volume importing and exporting market. The role reports to the Customs Manager and is responsible for the administration and processing of importing activities.

The key responsibilities of the position include:
Ø Registration of customs brokerage and freight forwarding jobs

Ø Timely and accurate invoicing of jobs to customers

Ø Entry of suppliers' invoices into the company's systems

Ø Monitoring cargo movements from the point of collection to their destination

Ø Arranging Electronic Funds Transfers in payment of suppliers' invoices

Ø Assisting the Transport Coordinator in arranging freight and delivery services to customers

The ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with staff, customers and suppliers is an essential requirement for this role.

The Import Clerk works in the Head Office of the company based in Fremantle. The family-run business has over 30 years of freight logistics and customs experience and has an excellent domestic and worldwide network in all major Australian ports, sea and air, and throughout Asia, North America and Western Europe.

Applicants must have a clean National Police Clearance and provide a one-hundred-point identification check with unrestricted rights to work in Australia.

The appointed Import Clerk will enter into an agreement with **Interim Executive Appointments** at a remuneration of at least $42,000 plus statutory superannuation depending on attitude, qualifications and experience. Following a permanent appointment, other remuneration and work-related benefits will become available.

**Salary**: $42,000.00 per year
