**Job Title: Kitchen Hand (Agency Staff) - Aged Care**

**Position Type**: Casual/Agency Staff

**Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation**: Assist in the preparation of nutritious and appetizing meals for residents according to dietary requirements and menu specifications.
- **Kitchen Hygiene**: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- **Dishwashing**: Responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean and organized dishwashing area.
- **Assist Cooks and Chefs**: Collaborate with the kitchen team to support chefs and cooks in the cooking process, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
- **Stock Management**: Assist in the receipt, storage, and rotation of food supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and reporting shortages.
- **Compliance**: Adhere to food safety standards, infection control measures, and other relevant guidelines in an aged care setting.
- **Teamwork**: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to create a positive and efficient work environment.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Capacity to handle physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting/moving heavy items.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
