***About the Role**:

- Identifies, evaluates and manages the adoption of database administration tools and processes, including automation
- Manage database configuration including installing and upgrading software maintaining relevant documentation
- Maintain operational security processes and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures
- As a member of the ICT team, assist with development and implementation of ICT policies, procedures and processes
- Liaise with contractors and other information system providers
- Ensure that the infrastructure is setup with best security practice
- Accountable for the overall health and integrity of the Council's database systems

**About You**:

- 3 years' experience within Database Administration
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server
- Knowledge of database systems in a cloud infrastructure environment (Amazon RDS or Azure SQL preferred)
- Knowledge of database security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
- Great understanding of data modelling concepts and practices
- ITIL Certification preferred
- Advanced teamwork skills, must be able to connect with colleagues and work together toward common goals
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to set priorities and follow direction to plan and organise.
- Ability to work autonomously and seek guidance when necessary
- Proof of vaccination certificate
