OverviewJoin to apply for the Communications Advisor role at MMG Limited .
The role is responsible for ensuring MMG's employees are communicated with in a timely and engaging way and feel connected to the business and its success.
It also involves interacting with stakeholders including investors, the community and the public to help build a positive reputation for MMG.Key accountabilitiesDevelop and manage MMG's employee communications 12-month plan including Townhalls, leader communications, internal campaigns and email announcements.Undertake regular evaluation/measurement and recommend best practice processes and ideas.Manage and optimise MMG's internal communications channels including email (with oversight of distribution lists and email marketing software) and sections of the intranet.Provide communications advice and support including scripting for Townhalls, speeches, messaging, Q&As and briefing notes.Contribute to key projects that require communications support (e.g., new site acquisitions, corporate strategy & narrative development, sustainability initiatives, MMG's leadership conference).
Editor for MMG's all-company newsletter including the editorial pipeline (story sourcing and writing) plus measurement.
Author employee updates and announcements from day-to-day to critical campaigns.Contribute to MMG's digital channels, including development of written/visual content.
Work with the Digital Communications advisor, China Relations and site/corporate colleagues to source timely company news.Oversee internal and external announcements including development of materials, translations and distribution.
Manage online and/or in-person events as required.
Contribute to results announcements and reporting, including CEO letters and related sections.Maintain relationships with site Communications and Stakeholder Relations teams, providing best practice advice and supporting collateral development as required.Administrative duties including internal reporting, invoice management, budget tracking and media monitoring.Work on projects and perform other duties as reasonably directed.SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong project management with the ability to meet tight deadlines and budgets.Attention to detail including proofreading skills.Ability to engage and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Issues management.KnowledgeAn understanding of the MMG business, values, strategy and sustainability commitments.Employee communications best practice.ExperienceEmployee communications for a global and diverse workforce including the introduction of new tools and measurement.Corporate communications for a listed company in an issue-rich and time-sensitive environment.Corporate reporting and events including annual reports, AGMs and results presentations.Interacting with stakeholders at an executive level.Working with SMEs to communicate sometimes complex or technical information.OtherTeam player who works in a collaborative, supportive and inclusive way.Curious, proactive and results driven.Open to change and new ways of doing things.Demonstrates cultural awareness.Some local and international travel may be required.Education, Qualifications, Tickets, LicencesUndergraduate qualifications in communications, community relations or business is highly desirable.At MMG we mine for progress through the development of our people and partnering with local communities to drive economic growth and the value we deliver to our shareholders.
