Working closely with senior leaders and teams across Australia Post, you'll join a passionate team of people and customer focused leaders, working hard to design and deliver the future of Australia Post while serving our communities across the country and globally.
**What you will do**
As a First, Middle and Last Mile Parcel Solutions Designer, you will be instrumental in optimising the critical touchpoints of our delivery network. Your expertise will drive efficiencies and enhance customer experiences in the initial and final stages of the supply chain.
- Optimise first, middle and last mile delivery through data-driven analysis of transport costs, trade-offs, and routing using advanced optimisation tools and GIS.
- Design smart, scalable delivery networks that adapt to different volumes and geographies
- Collaborate with automation experts and vendors to develop and prototype innovative solutions that can be tested and scaled across the network.
- Use your understanding of logistics levers—like delivery windows, LEAN and effective parcel sort optimsation, stem optimisation, and cost drivers—to shape high-performing, customer-centric solutions.
- Partner with teams across operations, tech, and customer experience to drive an integrated approach to network planning and delivery.
**What you'll bring**
You will have a combination of strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of transport, logistics or supply chain industries.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate delivery performance, customer behaviour, and operational data into actionable insights.
- Deep understanding of first, middle and last mile logistics, including volume forecasting, multi-wave scheduling, fleet requirements, and cost optimisation.
- Expert ability with data analysis tools and reporting using Excel, Tableau and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to recommend network solution
- A practical mindset for innovation and critical thinking to evaluate trade-offs across first and last mile delivery.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills to influence cross-functional teams and clearly present data-driven recommendations.
