Job Description
Spread joy by joining our Volunteer Team
The ACVVS program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in the Illawarra.
Your Role:
Spend time with an elderly resident who is seeking a friendly visitor to catch up for weekly or fortnightly chats. Enjoy a wander around the garden, a game of cards, or simply chatting together over a cuppa during your visits.
Your Impact:
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government, established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements
- 18 years or older
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30-minute to one-hour visit between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
