Overview
Project Engineer (Civil / Rail) opportunity with Inland Rail.
You will drive complex projects forward, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and with lasting benefits for local economies and the environment.
The scope includes rail track and systems upgrades, bridge replacements, road works, civil structures and third party utility modifications between Albury and Illabo in central NSW.
Flexible location options: Albury based (with temporary relocation if required) or FIFO from Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
Responsibilities
Actively facilitate the safe and compliant delivery of project works.
Ensure project delivery schedule targets and planning requirements are met.
Monitor and report on contractor performance and progress of operational readiness, quality, safety and environmental objectives.
Coordinate with the delivery team and Inland Rail project team to ensure a consistent, compliant and strategic approach to delivery planning and documentation.
Coordinate with the project\'s independent verifier as required.
Assist with administration, engagement and compliance with third party agreements with key stakeholders (state/local government, utilities authorities).
Assist with the establishment and administration of property and access agreements.
Monitor consultants and contractors involved in the project and the overall Inland Rail Programme.
Assist ITC contractor in development, coordination, compliance and review of works and documentation to meet safety and quality expectations.
Assist in preparation of documentation, correspondence and submissions to gain internal and external approvals at various management levels.
Assist in the administration of contracts, including assessment and estimating tasks, validation of claims and finalisation of contract documentation.
What we're looking for
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
Demonstrated experience delivering large, complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
Brownfield rail or road project experience is highly regarded.
Experience with third party agreements, deeds, licences and administering agreements interfacing with state/local government and utilities authorities.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work in a structured, well-ordered manner.
Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Commercial acumen and experience with large, complex, shared-risk, alliance or PPP projects.
Knowledge of contractor management practices and operational readiness and handover processes (AR TC / TfNSW standards familiarity is preferred).
