An an Associate Director, Product Manager Responsible AI, you'll lead the charge in ensuring the ethical and responsible deployment of AI and Machine Learning technologies across the business. In this pivotal role, you'll design and implement robust AI risk management frameworks, oversee regulatory compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Risk Management, AI Product, Data Science, and Engineering—to safeguard the security, fairness, and transparency of AI solutions. Beyond managing technical frameworks, you'll champion a culture of Responsible AI, providing expert guidance on best practices to uphold the highest standards of governance and ethics in AI innovation.

**Your day to day will consist of...**
- Collaborate with the Director of Responsible AI to develop and implement comprehensive policies and governance frameworks that guide the ethical evaluation and deployment of AI across Optus.
- Regularly update AI policies and procedures to align with evolving regulations, ethical standards, and advancements in AI technologies.
- Design and implement automated risk management processes and technical controls to ensure the safe, compliant, and ethical deployment of AI/ML solutions.
- Enhance AI/ML lifecycle workflows by integrating governance, model explainability, version control, and risk mitigation strategies using tools like Databricks and Google Cloud Platform.
- Monitor emerging AI regulations and industry standards, ensuring compliance with frameworks such as ISO/IEC standards and ACCC guidelines, while providing guidance on ethical AI principles.
- Promote Responsible AI principles across teams through education, training, and thought leadership, fostering a culture of accountability and ethical innovation.

- Extensive experience in AI/ML risk management, including the design and implementation of technical controls and monitoring systems.
- Practical expertise with advanced AI technologies, such as large language models (LLMs), deep learning models, and MLOps frameworks.
- Proficiency with platforms like Databricks and Google Cloud Platform, particularly in AI/ML workflows and governance.
- Familiarity with ISO standards for risk management and regulatory frameworks, including ACCC guidelines and ethical AI practices.
- Strong understanding of emerging AI legislation and voluntary ethical AI standards, with the ability to ensure compliance and innovation.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, translating complex risk management requirements into practical, technical solutions.
