**Job Description Summary**: Great opportunity for an experienced Account Manager with Diabetes care products, to join our team at embecta and work with our customers across SA/WA

**Purpose**: The Account Manager will be responsible for maximising growth with existing customers and establishing new accounts within a designated territory.

**Responsibilities**:

- Achievement of agreed sales and market share targets for the embecta range of Diabetes Care products to various market segments as outlined by the Sales Manager, Diabetes Care to ensure consistent sales, market share and profit growth.
- To call on our customers across our key channels including Doctors, Pharmacist, and DNE's,
- Ensure accurate and appropriate delivery of key communication messages in a specific timeframe for the embecta Diabetes Care range of products to targeted Healthcare Practitioners.
- Promote and implement the range of Diabetes Care products in public and private hospitals.
- Maintain company property, including computer equipment, in good working condition and also in an image that reflects the professional standards of embecta at all times.
- Participate actively in trade conferences organised locally and nationally.
- Develop and maintain local partnership with relevant industry bodies and Pharmaceutical Partner sales representatives in your territory.
- Other related tasks at the discretion of management.

**Required skills and experience**:

- At least 2 years of sales experience preferably in Diabetes and/or medical device or pharmaceutical companies
- A clinical or diabetes care background (advantageous)
- Experience selling into the Pharmacy, Aged Care and Hospital channels
- Tertiary qualifications desirable, preferably in science or nursing
- Demonstrated ability in strategically planning your territory for maximum impact
- Demonstrated competence in computer literacy with knowledge of software packages
- Ability to work autonomously
- Strong interpersonal skills
