About the Role :With growing demand for our Information Technology and Cybersecurity programs, we're building a pool of casual teachers to support course delivery across 2025 and beyond.
This is your opportunity to bring your industry expertise into the classroom and help students develop the skills they need to succeed in today's fast-evolving digital world.You'll be part of a passionate, student-focused teaching team made up of professionals at various stages of their education careers.
Collaboration is central to our culture—we support one another to stay agile, share ideas, and continuously find new ways to engage learners and drive innovation.Key areas of responsibility include, but not limited to :Prepare, deliver and assess vocational education and training programs, applying a variety of teaching methods, (including flexible delivery, on the job training and assessment), which reflect best practice teaching methodology.Research, adapt and develop innovative learning practices and delivery options that enhance the Program area's capacity to meet the learning needs of students.Provide learning programs that are inclusive for students from diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities; and implement appropriate support and / or modified learning programs and strategies as required.Contribute and participate as a member of the teaching area on a range of operational duties including course advice, student selection, enrolments, promotional activities, graduation and administrative duties.Provide valuable input into The Gordon's Centre of Excellence with designing and developing valuable initiatives across Disability and Inclusion learning.Check out the Position Description to learn more about this opportunity.Employment Opportunity :Casual as requiredSalary :Casual Teacher L1 | $86.15 (teaching) and $58.56 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF4 teaching qualificationCasual Teacher L2 | $89.54 (teaching) and $60.86 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF5 teaching qualificationCasual Teacher L3 | $93.08 (teaching) and $63.23 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF6+ teaching qualificationSuperannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate.About You :You're confident in the classroom and passionate about industry-led, skills-based learning.
You know how to engage students with practical, hands-on sessions that reflect the realities of modern IT workplaces, from cloud platforms and coding to enterprise networking and cyber ops.Some key knowledge and qualifications required include :Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 / TAE40122) or equivalent (or currently completing)Industry qualifications to enable you to teach across Certificates III / IV in Information Technology and Cybersecurity.If you're ready to share your expertise and shape the future of tech, we'd love to hear from you.
