**About the Opportunity**
Due to consistent growth across our business, we now have a great opportunity available for an experienced Design Drafter to join our team in North Coogee WA 6163.

As part of our engineering team, this role will see you utilising your vast knowledge and experience to overcome problems, whilst ensuring 2D and 3D designs and drawings are generated to relevant standards and client specifications.

Your responsibilities in this role will include;
- Design of fluid handling, hydraulic control & chemical injection systems and associated structural components
- Drafting of P&ID and hydraulic circuits using AutoCAD 2D software
- 3D Modelling and design of components, assemblies, structures & systems using Autodesk Inventor software
- Generate accurate and detailed drawings for review and manufacturing
- Develop bill of materials and manufacturing drawings
- Review design details and liaise with team to improve safety, maintainability and reduce cost where possible
- Make any adjustments and changes upon review of process
- Provide technical support for workshop, sales and engineering staff and investigating, diagnosing and identifying solutions
- Provide engineering support to the relevant Project Manager or Lead Engineer and other duties as required.

**About You**
To be considered for this role, you will possess;
- Diploma qualifications in mechanical engineering design/drafting or a related degree
- 5 years' experience in fluid power/fluid handling with exposure to industrial, mining and oil & gas industries (highly desirable)
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and 3D modelling software (Autodesk Inventor)
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering and fluid power principles and practices
- Hydraulic and process systems experience (highly desirable)
- Demonstrated capacity to develop relationships with diverse range of stakeholders and negotiate desired outcomes
- Project management skills with the ability to work within a project management framework
- Ability to think both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide sound advice and influence key stakeholders
- Valid drivers licence and a desire to develop a long standing career within the AFP business.
