**RoadTek is a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads. We provide transport infrastructure solutions for projects across Queensland. Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Quantify and identify materials, subcontractors and services required during construction.
- Co-ordinate the activities of a small work group to achieve desired outcomes. Accept responsibility for outcomes of assigned work activities.
- Exercise high precision operative skill when using roadmaking plant, small machinery, and equipment and trade skill when performing civil construction works.

To maintain commercial viability, civil tradespersons, will be required to implement flexible working arrangements consistent with the arrangements in the current Industrial Instruments which covers mobility and site-specific arrangements. These will involve the working of greater than five-day work schedules, and / or living away from home, depending on business needs.
- RoadTek civil tradespersons will be expected to gain and maintain competencies that are consistent with business needs (mainly mobility between business units), through participation in the Civil Trades Development Program (CTDP) which has been introduced to manage and compensate employees for gaining extra competencies.
